There are actually 6 Clematis plants along this trellis! Two montanas are in flower.

The one nearest to the camera is a baby - this is really its first year of flowering. I planted two montanas, one at each side of the arch, to meet in the middle - two different colours. The other one is white - it only has three flowers on it. My little 'vision' will have to wait until next year!

Once they decide to grow at their full rate you'll need to get some really big secateurs.

Have a large white montana in flower now and has been for about 2 weeks, went to put the photo on but it was too large (used wrong lens) will try again, it is stunning, even though I say it myself.

I have a white one which covers the workshop roof and a wall - I love it! It's always the last to flower of the montanas.
Toto - I am not cutting them back - they can do their own thing! Mingle, hopefully!
