Queensland Frangipani is a very commonly grown tree in California. It has very sweet fragrant flowers in huge masses. This is just a very young tree. This tree can grow to a giant of more than 60 feet/20 meter tall. These large trees are amazing when blooming because you can smell them many hundred of yards or meters away from the tree. It almost makes you hungry for something sweet to eat. LOL!

M.m.m.m.m.m..... smells like candy, huh? It is gorgeous...there's a application on facebook where you can send pics of frangipani's to your friends!! lol... Is this one that you grow, Bernieh? All these huge wonderfully coloured (Jacaranda) and sweet smelling (Frangipani) trees that you have shown us...makes me want to see California....just to look at the trees!!!lol...(I promised myself I'd stand under the redwoods someday)

Lori:
Yes, it is sweet almost like candy. A large tree is indeed very beautiful.
I would think that Bernieh could easily grow this since they are native to Queensland, Australia...where Bernieh lives.
The best is yet to come...as the tropical exotics that bloom in Summer will be blooming soon.
