yes its a nice corner but unfortunately the wind is so damaging to them

Could you make the fencing more solid by adding some upright strips of wood ? Could look quite effective and would protect the plants more on windy days..

Or, fix horizontal panels on the other side of the posts, and to fill the spaces seen between the panels on this side. Exactly as in the fence behind the seat in your bench pic, Toshka. This makes a fence more solid but allows the wind to filter through very slowly so that the fence won't blow down - the pergfect windbreak!
