Why do dogs and cats have shorter lives than we do ?
I guess we have to enjoy whatever time we are allocated on earth..:o)

I love these little wonders - feel very privileged to see it, even if it's just for one day. These are magnificent flowers - how many times a year does this plant flower?

I guessing it only blooms once a year. I've got a similar cactus and it only blooms once a year.
Terry be glad that you weren't on vacation... and missed it! It's beautiful, look at all those flowers. I can't even see the cactus :)

I've just had a look at it and after only 24 hours, it's all shrivelled up ..... sad, very sad
