This one is called Allium Christophii. I'm tickled pink with both of them.

Thanks Janey and Mike ! These are about the size of a large cantalope, both of the allium blooms remind me of fireworks....:-)

Makes my one little allium look quite puny and insignficant! Great shot ..they look wonderful in the early morning dew! (or is that late afternoon?) lol...

Your first inclination was right Lori, it's the early morning light . You were dead on ! I'm sure your allium looks awesome Lori. Size isn't everything... Hahaha. I love my little white blooming ones too. The new just hasn't worn off these yet for me...lol

They are beautiful!! will have to post a pic of my little allium for you to chuckle at... he's small but he is aged...I bought the single bulb about 9 years ago!! he's been moved once...

ahahah... good point! I went looking for him this morning..it is very wet out there at present, but I found him peeking out from beneath a burgeoning feverfew...I swear that stuff is a curse. sun's supposed to come out today sometime..so will post my poor little allium soon.

Can't wait to see him Lori! We're having fewer sunny days this spring, so I really appreciate the feel of the sun on my face when it happens this year....lol
