When did people see their first rose open this year? I'm intrigued to find out as I saw my first on the 5th of May! I think it may have opened a few days earlier as the flower was "blown"! It was a climber with big blowsy, yellow flowers. Not on my balcony though. My only rose, Fred Loads, is just making a terminal flower bud. I accidentally broke off the first one a couple of weeks ago. :(

But I have three miniature roses that have been growing in the same trough for at least 3 or 4 years. They flower nicely during the summer & in a few days I shall have the first flower for this year.
