Janey, the ferns are lovely but can be a bother, I don't plant them, they spring up everywhere in my garden and are invasive. I actually was pulling lots of these out yesterday.

No they aren't hard to keep Marydoll, as long as you stick it in the ground it will grow here. So many smaller ferns pop up everywhere in my garden, especially after rainy spells.
