Jacaranda mimosifolia - Jacaranda Tree

We just came back from a vacation in San Diego and I saw these every where. They're very pretty :)

Yes, they are everywhere...lining many streets and medians all over the city.
I see you live in California also...do you live far from San Diego?

Delonix1- When I saw this photo I thought, "I just saw those in San Diego!" Then I saw that it was your photo, lol. We live about 7-7.5 hours north of you :)

This is the very common Jacaranda that is grown everywhere -- like Tasteyg said above.

It sounds like you up towards the San Francisco Bay Area or Sacramento Area.

What a wonderful colour...it almost looks surreal.

What's surreal is when you see a street many miles long lined with these trees blooming on both sides, disappearing into the sunset...unfortunately, my camera cannot capture that. : > )

glorious... something to aspire to achieve, D1`... lol.

I may attempt taking a photo of a Jacaranda-lined street disappearing into the sunset...I'll see if actually works.

I still marvel at that wonderful colour... have put the seeds in Jiffy7's...all fingers crossed!!

I'm sure with all your TLC the seeds will germinate quickly.

how bright the colors really are.
