Yes, it has a pretty unusual flower! I have posted several photos of larger trees in full-bloom in the past. However, this is the first time I've ever posted such a close-up view of a flower though.

Do these trees grow in Fiji? I would think they would grow very well there...because they are very tropical -- being native to the torrid zones
of Africa.

Well I haven't seen this type of flower before, maybe they do grow here but I honestly am not sure Delonix.

The flowers are pretty short-lived.

When the tree is covered with the almost 3 foot / 1 meter sausage-type hanging pods...it is very conspicuous.
