Yes Hollyeves it was an amazing idea to put a terracotta pot in there and like you say Newfie, it's a wonder the tree is still alive and growing

To be honest folks, close to, it looked like a terracotta loo brush holder !! - very effective though ..

That looks a lot like my plum tree that had wood rot. I had to cut it down for safety reasons.
