Is there a happy ending to this story ?

I hope there's a happy ending to the story. The parents chased them around the garden popping food ino their gaping beaks for at least half an hour before we had to leave them. As far as we are aware, five chicks were successfully fledged. Initially I was standing near their nest looking down at the ground to see if any weeding was necessary when suddenly little balls of fluff were appearing at my feet. At first, I was so surprised that I didn't realise what was happening, but when I looked up and saw yet another one appear at the nest hole and launch itself into space, I realised I was present at a minor miracle. Fortunately, my camera was handy. We had to rescue one that got into difficulties which resulted in a couple of pics of my wife holding it. Bearing in mind that the feeding process seems so random, I was impressed by the parenting skills that produced five feisty chicks, in super condition, all the same size and all fledging at the same time and able to fly within five minutes of leaving the nest. It was an experience we'll remember for the rest of our lives. very much a case of being in the right place at the right time.

Wow, this shows how trusting the parent birds were of you both, I understand your joy. Thank you for being so kind to our little wild friends.

Now this must go on my favourites! You must have been so overjoyed at this experience - and again camera in the right place at the right time!
