Thanks you Bjs. This is as close as we get to the bluebells. I love the bluebells you have there. But if they haven't a fragrance, I'll take this bit of orchid hands down. I love fragrance.

Oh Greenthumb you would love Bluebells then,think of a potted Hyacinth scent thats the nearest I can think is close, then think of a whole woodland scented with that .if the sun is on them you can smell them before you can see them down wind.

Oh, that does sound wonderful! I didn't know they had a scent! I would be in heaven. :-)

We have a summer like nowhere else GG. Things are just starting to take off. 24 hours light and some heat, its amazing. I'm getting down to the south coast in august, i'll visit the rainforest and such, very different from here.

I´ve never seen a Calypso, only in books. Of course, maybe this is worth the cold & long winters...

About wildflowers, I agree. :-) I'm collecting as many shots as I can this year. Our bluebells I've learned are in the mertensia family, lungwort. Huge patches all over, just coming into bloom now.
