Hi Marann - I live in north Queensland, Australia. I live outside a major northern city - about 20 kilometres out of the city in the hills and I'm surrounded by bush. These birds are flying around the bushland here and if I'm lucky they will come and sit in the trees on our property.

What cool looking markings on it's face, puts me in the mind of the 'lone ranger'...lol

remains me of those gangsters at Donald Duck´s....

Actually Deida51 this was the first time I had spotted this bird - haven't seen it around here before. It is a very striking little bird.
