growing completely untended...an escapee from a farmstead garden.

I could be wrong, but I think it is elderberry. Of the wine variety..lol.
many of the old settlers made their own libations...dandelion, elderberry, strawberry, etc. They should be called buzzing bush...because the bees and flies just congregate.
