I have two of these deciduous frangipanis and they look a little stark over the winter as they are completely leafless.

The two deciduous rubras don't have any flowers during winter - no leaves either - and they don't get a lot of flowers in the summer because they're growing under some very tall eucalypts which means they're not if full sun all day during summer. The flowers tend to be right up on the top branches where they get a lot more sun. The obtusa which is behind these two does get a few more flowers and it does continue flowering a little through winter.

Bernieh:
That would make sense...I know Plumeria trees love to have all day sun.
I was going to ask if you had any Singapore plumeria trees...my tree has been in full bloom during winter when we have winter heat waves.

Yes I do have one Delonix and there a couple of sprays on it - but as I said it doesn't flower too much during winter. It too is under the eucalypts but in a more open space and receives more sun.

Bare branches have a beauty of their own - fascinating.

Thanks Wagger - yes these are two quite old, large plumerias and they do have a beauty all their own when all you can see are those old patchy branches.

See who else is growing Plumeria rubra (Atabaiba Rosada).
See who else has plants in genus Plumeria.

Wow! A lot of branches. You must get a lot of flowers.
Do you ever get flowers during winter?
The Plumeria trees here have just started blooming a month ago...however, some of mine have just started blooming a couple of weeks ago...and will bloom
until the middle of January.
