Spider on the Plant Pot

This spider was crawling on a plant pot, does anybody have any idea what kind it is? Its body was approx. an inch long.

Well...here it is in my book Fb.....Argyope bruennichi...... after mating, the female devours the male!!! Yikes!

I have only just stumbled across this blog. I was fascinated by the colour and wondered if it was a poisonous spider so I looked it up. It is not poisonous to humans. It makes an unusual zigzag web shape and it has also been found in the south of England since the early 1940's.
