You can put this photo on the GoY question page and ask for an ID. It's too lovely to leave nameless, Bigbumblebee.

Hi, I can confirm that this shrub is called "Leptospermum scoparium" 'Martini' also know as (New Zealand Tea Tree). It is an upright evergreen shrub with small green needle like scented leaves which can turn reddish-pink in cold weather. It produces pink and red flowers which open pale and darken with age from early spring to early autumn.

Requirements - Prefers well drained acidic soil in full sun or part shade.

Uses - Great for borders, containers, conservatories or coastal gardens.

Size - Up to 2m tall and 2m across

Top tip - Trim as required after flowering to maintain shape. Do not cut into old wood where there are no live buds.

Note - This evergreen shrub grows and flowers year after year if protected from winter frosts.

Waterwise - Drought tolerant plant when established.

Thanks, Hannah01,
Useful info; much appreciated. As if you haven't told me enough already, can it be grown from cuttings, and if so, what type?

Hi Bbb, not sure if this can be grown from cuttings? I am new to gardening and only came across the info given to you because I planted the same shrub in my garden last year - which is also doing very well this year. I actually have the shrub in a pot around my pond!
