Our wild prickly rose. Banks of thesse roses are starting to appear everywhere, with the wild blue mertensia. Almost solstice, the richest spring flower time.

This is everywhere. I have banks of it over the frogpond and along the roadside. I've got a scarlet, more exotic one for the garden, but am wanting the white blooming bushes more, since they aren't all thorns. This variety is extremely prickly.
