You would love California...because Geraniums grow wild here everywhere. This variety of Geranium I used to cut huge clumps out my yard and through out in the trash (sorrry, but it's true)...they have a tendecy to take over large areas.
This Geranium looks very nice in your pot!

On a serious note, Geraniums are my favourite colours :-)

Yes, the shrubby types of Geranium grow to 3 feet / 1 meter tall and have the same spread...so they must be cut back often.
Our medians and along the freeways the trailing pink and purple garaniums are very widely grown. They are always in bloom a don't need very much water...which is a good combination.
I'll take some photo soon of the medians with the blooming Geraniums which usually grow under the many Jacaranda trees here.
