I've tried Alstroemeria a number of times and they don't even grow so your doing a lot better than me.

Mine are not in flower yet Spritz , I have support round them as they do tend to flop .......

This is a dwarf one, so it doesn't need support. IF the snails keep away from it, I am hoping that it comes back up next year. The previous one only had one tiny shoot and no flowers. :-(

Gorgeous colour. Mine got munched so I gave up - I even had copper tape round the rim of the pot and it didn't put the little blighters off!

SIGH!! That is quite probably what happened to the other two! Dratted snails again. :-(

OK, now, what is wrong here, I had to fight these in my garden like crazy. I adore them as cut flowers as they keep approx. 2 weeks in a vase, so el stupid here "grabbed 'the little seedlings in a garden exchange. oh my what a mistake. it 'tried" to take over. I let it do it in a small isolated garden patch, the rest I am still fighting to get rid off. I must admit I am a little bit of a control freak in my garden, anything that runs or spread tooooo freely is a "goner".
So maybe Spritz it is just warning you, put me in a pot or else I will take over!!!LOL
I hate to stake things too much, but my alstromeria grows so densely that they stay UP.
Good luck!!!

Thanks, Doon - it would be nice if they even tried to run riot - but no - sadly, no such luck. I hope this time it likes it here and stays!

The slugs and snails were feasting on my ageratums, someone on here suggested sharp sand.. I sprinkled some around the plants and have not seen one since.

Worth a try, then!
