Did you plant them in October? I'm sure that makes the difference. I took a bunch to church today and have some indoors as well.

That's why then! Sowed mine in February I think and brought them on in the greenhouse. Just checked again and they are almost there!!

I bought my plants from our local plant shop..... but i think i can see some buds coming....

Now come on, Holly - buy some seeds and plant them in October! LOL.

Sorry - I shouldn't nag - just trying to get you some beautiful fragrant flowers nice and early! :-).

i havnt much more room in the garden..... so ive put the sweetpeas in a pot there growing fast nearly in flower....

I usally put mine in the first part of the year.
but this year not a one came up so I thought as I had saved the seeds maybe they were to old
so I still had some left and Isowed them in a long trough and would you believe it they are all up and very thick
so I have learnt a lesson never throw anything away.

I love sweet peas, too, and this year I have two lots on obelisks! The house will be full of them. :-)

Maybe the first lot rotted? Or was it just too cold for them??

Could have been but I'm sure the later ones will make up for the others but here in france I only get blue I will haveto see about getting a new supply for next year thanks

Why only blue?? That seems strange??

I also have gladiolus that were all different colours when I put them in but I only get Yellow ones.
and I do rember my mum had the same Trouble with her Gladiolus but that was many moons ago.
