More Like Banana Custard than Copper colour!

Verbascum which I grew from seed in spring last year. I think I got my seed mixed up because I was convinced that these plants were a copper coloured hybrid but they look more like the 'Banana Custard' variety that I also sowed. I was disappointed when I first noticed that the flower buds looked yellow instead of copper but I am now very pleased with them. They seemed to take forever to grow to a decent size last year before I could plant them in the front garden borders at the end of the summer but they've certainly made up for that slow start and are an impressive sight from my chair in the front room.

Whichever they are they're fabulous....I love these Olympian ones, mine are only about 2ft tall.

Well done Paul! The heads are a lot straighter than mine and with larger flowers too I think.
