HERBACEOUS PERENNIAL-SPP SOLIDAGO

I wouldn't call it a weed - people certainly cultivate 'Golden Rod' in their borders and have done for years! I remember it in my childhood garden.....

I leave a clump at the back of my long garden for it's brightness. It is often included in the cut flower bouquets sold in fall, so it must be appealing to a number of folk.

Yupp, its Golden Rod, the herbaceous perennial, spp Solidago. Its easily dug up for division or removal!!.. but it looks just fine where you have it.

In Hungary we have ragweed, also known as mimosa that looks like this. I also remember from years ago a garden plant called "golden rod" which looked like this too.
