Amazing architecture...

It sure is TT.

It was so interesting walking around these ruins TT and Clarice. It was even more pleasant because not many people know about the place so it wasn't heaving with the usual hoards of tourists like Pompei.

These Romans were certainly ingenious and their engineering skills are incredibly still very visible - central heating - plumbing system with hot water - even a flushing loo!

Yes, the Romans enjoyed many mod cons ...

Lovely arches, would look good with some clematis growing over them :)

Well I reckon you should get one then Gee, as those poor arches will remain quite bare until you do !!

The only things is - I could buy a lot of plants for my own garden for the cost of a passport and enjoy them all year round :)

Barrel vaults and semi-circular arches...The restraint of these features started the gothic architect's thoughts of height and light...rose windows and flying buttresses... The Roman arch is where it all began! seeing this would be worth the trip from the other side of the globe!!

Well Lori, they're not going any where and these splendours will willingly wait for your much deserved visit

It is definitely my intention to see Rome before I die.... pigs may fly and hell may freeze over but I'm still hopeful! LOL...
