this border was dug over this spring and planted for late colour, unfortunately all the early summer plants have done too well, so will continue to tweak until I get it right. There are 3 rose bushes in there somewhere!

At one time my garden themes seemed almost exclusively spring flowering plants and trees. Lol. I've done my best to include perennials which flower in other seasons...

Its so hard terra. the slugs get so many plants. Im growing rudbekia and sunflowers in pots, there are a couple of sedums and phlomis in there. Shortly I shall give the geraniums a hair cut and put in the marigolds, californian poppies and cosmos. I have to wait until they are on the point of flowering before I plant them out. Well thats gardening, I dont like it if everything stays the same all the time

Your border looks great Mageth :) Know just what you mean though about the slugs....my sunflowers have to stay on the kitchen windowsill until they come into flower, then they get moved outside and last about 24hrs before they're chomped to bits, lol

Ditto! lol all the trouble we go to just to see them for a few days looking magnificant. I have also got delphiniums and gladioli bulbs waiting in the wings for their turn on stage
