Summer regular!

Hemerocallis like this one are regular and popular stalwarts for any hot summer border. While each bloom may only last a day or so, they just keep coming and if you mix your varieties your display will stretch for ages.

I've been looking for nursery raised specie...but with no luck. the plant breeders have been fiddling with wild abandon...and the results are not always what I call pretty. the maroon throat aside this looks very much like the 12th of July Lillies that grew in my grandmother's garden. Very nice, but I'm still looking...maybe I have to go and dig up the rhizomes from some derelict farmstead.

Yes I've found these a good plant to grow. They are also easy to propogate by dividing the plant.
