Welcome to GoY.

You've definitely made a good start Jean - are your fingers turning green ??? I'm new on GOY so have only just come across your homepage (I'm finding new stuff every day, it's great !). What plants have you got growing on the wall there ? It's good to see you're encouraging the wildlife in, I think they bring the garden alive. I'm retired through ill health too (back injury in my case) and it can be frustrating, one day I can work in the garden for a couple of hours, but then can't do anything for a couple of days !! But I'm learning to pace myself and tell myself 'a garden shouldn't be rushed' - it works sometimes !!! Enjoy your garden Jean. ;~)

Thanks for your comments muddywalters, I too have to pace myself, and also a big learning curve, never having gardened before. I have really enjoyed it this summer, but now everything looks a mess and feel quite disheartened, but am sure when the spring gets here everything will look different, although will not know where to begin to start to clear and replant, will need lots of help from my GOY friends. Great you have found GOY, I have found it really useful and made some new friends. have a good Christmas!
