I don't even know where this came from, I think my daughter in law healed it in my garden while they built their house and for got it. Lucky me. :-)

Well I guess so, miss lucky pants......that one is a beauty..

I wish the blooms lasted longer. This one is now sporting a furry stem and pretty seed head.

Oh seeds? wonder will it come up from seed...save the pod...I want some of those seeds! goodness...

I will save it. I think they come up the first year and bloom the second year.

Oh good..it is such a pretty one...love the shades of pink and it looks almost burgandy inside but that could just be the way it looks in the picture..she is very gorgeous....

She is almost solid black in the center.

Oh that sounds like the ones my mom used to grow....

I haven't actively saved poppy seeds but it seems like my mom used to let the heads dry on the stem and then collect them. Yes? I will go out now and whisper sweet nothings to it.

Well..I love saving the seeds..what I do is gather all sorts of poppy seeds..then here, at least what you do ..is make a bed before it gets cold out...then after the first frost..or snow or whatever the thing is that happens first..you just go out and sprinkle the poppy seeds over the snow or ice and that is it...they come up like mad in the spring and you have a gorgeous patch of poppies..

Nice idea. I'll have to see if I can get more poppy seeds of different colors and try your method.
