Thanks Pansypotter and Morgana - these are so hardy and they add such interest to the garden. This one is still a baby so I'm looking forward to seeing it grow much bigger with many more blooms.

I love this purple Anthurium! I used to have one...however, the water finally killed it. I finally got smart and water my Anthuriums with bottled water. Do you grow your Anthurium in semi-shade outside?

It's a shame about your water - you've told me how hard it is and that would certainly be annoying when the plants don't like drinking it. This one, Delonix, is outside in my greenhouse and it's under 75% shadecloth there in one of the more shaded parts nearer the house.

Yes, the water here is so horribly hard...it makes me crazy! I really need to invest in a water purification system...especially for my plants. LOL!

I can only grow Anthurium outside under my tent or under the large trees in the front yard...because they need pretty deep shade here...or they'll sun-burn easily.

I will buy this purple Anthurium again...however, only use bottled water. I did have the plant for about 5 years before it succumbed to the hard water though.

They are such a great plant that it would be hard to resist getting one again - hope it will grow well with the bottled water.
