Inside each 'trumpet' the colour is burgundy! I can't capture that, sadly. :-(

Snap Spritz, I bought this on Saturday and gave it to a friend as a house warming gift. I kept the purple form for myself, I will post it when I get it planted. I hope they are as perennial as the other form (but a bit smaller)

Phygelius don't do well in my garden for some reason - I know other people say they can be a nuisance and spread, but mine fizzle out after a couple of years!! :-(

I think it must be the soil, Spritz, I am on clay and they don't seem to be fond of that, anyway.

???????????? Wonder why Spritz? Iv 2 but they seem very slow Growing ? :/

There are some in a village about 3 miles from here that have spread to about 8' wide and 6' tall!

I have a neutral soil, quite good, well fed. I can't understand why my attempts at growing Phygelius fail. :-(

I've just seen this one (Candydrops) in the Glasnevin botanic gardens and they are really good. I got mine planted, but it is a bit underdeveloped for a photo. Fingers crossed for one as good as the ones in Glasnevin.
