Here in silhouette is one of the most beautiful trees in NA. the morning mist was rising and the sun was soon to spread down the valley like warm honey...but there stood that beauty! Sun or not I wanted that picture! The mosquitoes were about to carry me away...but I soldiered on! lol.

It's taken them 50 years but they seem to be on the rebound from the Dutch Elm disease epidemic... naturalists say that these trees may also secumb...sad thing... hope they can find a control for the beetles that spread the disease.
