Sunglow on Ostrich Fern

Sunglow on Ostrich Fern (Matteuccia struthiopteris (Ostrich fern))

Ostrich fern is native and found in our back woods. I've transplanted a few to the front woodland gardens and captured the early morning sun on one of the unfurling ferns. It's one of our largest ferns. It fades away with the first fall frost but its dark brown, rigid fertile fronds stand all winter.

What else?

See who else is growing Matteuccia struthiopteris (Ostrich fern).

See who else has plants in genus Matteuccia.
