Jane here Dawn.Once again computer refusing to let us send pm s.So annoying.Ray exhausted and asleep in front of tv with wimbledon on.Think the tap tapping has hypnotised him.Kids getting fractious in this heat but only 2 weeks to go !!! Off now for a shower ! x
1 Jul, 2009
Hi Jane, hope you got my pm. So annoying for you, wonder why its doing that! We still have broadband problems too, forever losing connection and if someone calls the phone we get kicked off broadband. BT have admitted there is a fault - yet again, been going on now for 5 weeks. BT broadband advertises Fast and Reliable - I told BT it is neither, lol. Say hi to Ray when he awakes - he must be shattered working in this heat. Dawn x
1 Jul, 2009
Yes Dawn...got it and was trying to reply ! Spot on with BT comments !!
1 Jul, 2009
What a shambles, here I was thinking that BT would be the best, what a joke.
1 Jul, 2009
Lol...by the way the teasel seedlings are now ready for pricking out. Will see how much growth they put on before planting out.If needs must they can over winter to go out next spring !
1 Jul, 2009
Great stuff, how tall do they grow Jane, when mature? Can we hope they will seed down each year - that's if our little gold finches dont eat every seed.
1 Jul, 2009
About 5 feet tall Dawn..will be great to see the goldfinches on them ! Save a packet on niger too ! Lol
1 Jul, 2009
Wow, that big, can't wait to see them and if we get gold finches on them too even better. I've had a few self sets this year too, well, I think that's what they are. Wonder why. By the way, how's the weather with you - maybe you have rain later.
1 Jul, 2009
Sultry and hot this evening Dawn ! Missed the forecast but think much the same for rest of week ! Watered some of our newly planted shrubs tonight in case we get no storms !
1 Jul, 2009
I know, some of my plants I set a few weeks ago have drooped today even though I've kept them watered. Lovely though, isnt it.
We seem to have missed the storms that most have had.
1 Jul, 2009
Its that balance..so delicate...between too much and not enough rain. All this sun has brought on so much though..its great !
1 Jul, 2009
yes dawn the second week was good and saw alot of places,, but dont think i will go when my garden needs me most, the summer time, maybe about early may would be ideal,, or after the summer here,, we had really bad storm here lastnight, rain smashed lots of flowers and had to chop a very large branch of our willow tree as it was broken,, may get another tonight to i hear :o(
1 Jul, 2009
Ray: I know what you mean about balance but like you say the sun brings things on so much. In 2007 and 2008 my tomatoes just stopped growing and gave a poor yield and basically gave up. We can stand hard winters if we get good summers, cant we. I put some grass seed down a couple of weeks ago and its germinated already, amazing.
Sandra: We never go away in summer now. Our summers are so short and I feel its a shame to go away and lose those light nights etc. Sorry to hear your plants had a bashing, hope you dont get it so bad next time.

I can imagine a sparrow dressed in an apron cheeping, 'birds eggs for sale.' £1 for six.'
'Plenty of birdfood for free.'
2 Jul, 2009
Ha ha Linda.
2 Jul, 2009
Well, a des res has to be lived in by the right bird doesn't it.
2 Jul, 2009
Absolutely Linda, lol.

7 Jul, 2009
I ve just had a thought I hope Toto dont see this he might think its his new shed .lol
7 Jul, 2009
Thanks Deida.
Morgana: I'm sure we can squeeze Toto in one way or another!
7 Jul, 2009
If I come across him again I will tell him lol
7 Jul, 2009
OK Morgana - maybe you can give me a hand to prize him in, unless he's a very small chap of course.
7 Jul, 2009
Of course I will , he can sit on my lap in my wheel chair, I will put it full speed do an emergency stop, the force of the stopping will shoot him straight into the feeding station, at least its better than riding a bike with a bent back wheel, as he was doing .which I think personally was a penny farthing, which he denies all knowledge of knowing what one is, but he can fool some of the people some of the time but cant fool all of the people all of the time. lol
7 Jul, 2009
Your plan sounds perfect Morgana - I can just picture him flying through the air - do they call it inertia, lol. Not seen anything about the bike but like you say, he can't fool us. Lol
7 Jul, 2009
lol Irish and my self are trying to get BB and Toto to do a feather dance with her Astilbe pink as, well but Toto has a price I am willing to chip in to the kitty to watch, as we have offered him the new house you should nt have to pay I should nt think look to Irish Astilbe picture, if we distract him with the dance we might be able to get him in easier lol
7 Jul, 2009
lol my Morgana sounds like you have it all planned out there
7 Jul, 2009
Good hay lol
