Golden coloured frog, Lindisfarne late August 2006

My wife spotted this frog while we were out for a walk on Lindisfarne (Holy Island) Northumberland. I've never seen a British frog this colour before and I wonder if this is rare?

I thought golden frog, must be a magic frog. kiss magic frog - pot of gold, Midas touch etc.

Well, On Lindisfarne, which is a magical, mystical place, anything could potentially happen. Lucky you didn't get poisioned, or catch some disease, lol! Of course, you were right to try! :-)
