So sad they can't stand up so well to a long rain. I got a giant named galahad this year, waiting to see how it holds up. All sun so far, but I may stake him none the less. They are so reliable in the subzero winter world. :-)

Similar weather to here Lori!,
Am loving our garden wet with rain, blazing sunshine, and thunder/lightning storms - all in a day! :-)

I have found (thro trial and error) that delphs love the cool temps and clay soil...You go so quickly into the warm temps in the early season, Flcrazy, that I think that's why they don't do well for you. when I lived in the north I had a clump that grew to 8 feet tall...strong sturdy stems that stood up to wind and weather...I have Guinevere! (there is a series of Pacific Giants named after characters of the Arthurian Legend) Will be interested to see how they do for you Gt... Weather is the source of constant comment all over the globe these days, David!.... We seem to be experiencing the same patterns here too!.
