Gorgeous are they the night scented stock, I planted some when we first married, we didnt have a garden just a tiny backyard, but came up everywhere and the scent in the evening was wonderful!

Wow! Very pretty - bet they smell gorgeous. I am trying to plant a scented garden all around the deck. And Doll Mixture - haven't thought about those sweets in ages! Thanks for the memories! They always tasted slightly violet-like to me.

Yes Elke they did have a faint perfumed flavour, the ones they make now are no where near as nice, just very sweet and even the texture has changed they're a lot softer now and bigger :-( Aaaaaaaah the good old days.... O M G I sound like my grandma........ eek I am a grandma :-)) No Pansy, they are much smaller and so easy to grow, you just scatter them and cover lightly where you want them to flower. They're a great flower to start children on as they flower so quickly from sowing. This is a delayed reply :-))

The 'white flower' on the left is pale pink as it has pink veining and is an evening primrose, oenothera siskiyou. It flowers for ever and seems to like well drained soil. I love it, there are some more(not brilliant) pics of it on my blog 'front garden' where I moan that they seem paler than siskiyou I had before:-)

I think the colours on the other plants are so intense, that one looks white, but now I look closer, I can see the pink tinge. Very lovely. Is it a perennial? Its on my wish list if it is!

Yes it's perennial and spreads amazingly in one season, some say it's invasive, I haven't found it so. In fact my first lot just vanished after 3 years and they were,I think, more noticeably pink veined.

Does it like a lot of sun too? I think its lovely - and I'm definitely going to buy some!

Yes Mw, it likes the sun, if I knew how to do it I could chop you a piece off and send it, but I'm not that confident:-(

Oh no, don't worry! I will look out for seeds, or just get down to a garden centre next year. I am compiling a wish list which gets longer everyday and am asking all friends and family for garden centre vouchers - so I can go on a plant spending spree! Thanks for the kind thought though M ;-)
