House Leeks

I re-potted these last year, and they did well during the growing season. But they did not over-winter well, and it looked like they were rotting. So I re-potted them again, into cacti compost and they seem happier now!

These are in a 'bulb bowl' but as they are very shallow rooted and came from the roof of my Grandad's porch, (they are 50+ years old!) I guess they would root in next to nothing!! I did not add anything else to the compost.
They suffered from the very wet weather we had in July, but are picking up a bit now. I had to move them to protect them from the elements!

Hi did you add anything else to the cacti compost and how shallow can the dish be?
