Hi Amblealice - is the name of this dahlia Sunshine? I had one that I thought looked like this a few years ago, but I thought it was called Moonfire (I think). Is there one called Moonfire, and is it similar to this one, or was I dreaming?

Don't know Jan..I think there are a few dahlias in the market place all the same and depending on who markets them...gives them their own names. The only time you will get a "dedicated name" is with the show dahlias...

There is a 'Moonfire', i've seen it in quite a few garden centres lately :)

Thank you Amblealice and Louise. Whatever its name is, its gorgeous! Sadly I lost mine and at the time didn't store the tubers(?) properly and they rotted away. Maybe I should try again.
