Lovely, full of colour , and scent no doubt from the roses

The smell is fantastic as you walk up the path - thats why I'm loath to get rid of them even though they get blackspot every year and are looking really knarly! They smell just like roses should - why anyone wants to buy a rose that doesnt smell is just beyond me!

I agree, pointless if no smell! Blackspot, I'm afraid seems to be the bain of every gardeners life these past few years!

I dont spray anything else in the garden but I do have to against blackspot on these roses otherwise at the end of the season they would be bald!! I pick up all the leaves I can and always give them a good feed of manure each year and feed during the season and it seems to keep them going!!
