Butterfly on Erysimum

I'm never so lucky, by the time i see them there ready to fly off.

oh this is beautiful spritz. I never seem to get them in focus in my rush to take the photo.

I took four photos before he flew away! I chose the best one...to my surprise, none of them were out of focus - usually, I delete most of them.

No, this is a Small Tortoiseshell. I love the blue pattern along the back of the wings.

You captured that beautifully Spritz. I tried to catch one on a Buddleia but it was moving around and the bush was blowing in the wind. You had to be patient.

Loverly shot! It's a Small Tortoiseshell, I've lucky enought to have them in my garden this year. I've put a couple of photos up of them.
