Running down Mount Warning I came across this beetle on the path. I don't know what type it is, but those antennae are impressive.

Looks like our spruce beetle but ours doesn't have the spots. Size and antenna are the same though. Glad you found it on the ground. Sprucebeetles are notorious tag alongs clinging to your clothes... eek. :-)
