I got this when Louise and I went to the GC - she has it and says it's hardy! I was tempted and fell.

I have them both if you remember and they're fine here !
I just love them :)

I DO remember - it was all your fault that I bought it... lol.
Good this, I can blame you for all my purchases that day! ;-)

LOL ; )

Is it hardy? I know of a lot of Verbenas which are hardy but that one looks like an annual. Lovely colour, I bought some this year but they are a bit more scarlet than yours.

Gorgeous, Spritz..

Well Wyeboy, Louise lives a few miles away up the coast and it's hardy in her garden! I shall have to wait and see. V. 'Homestead Purple' survived last winter here. :-)

Spritz, when i bought it (last year i think, maybe before that) i actually asked the question at the time and they said they'd not lost one over winter .... so it was on that note i bought it and .... so far so good !
Someone told me we're in for a very cold winter again this year so we'll see what happens again ! (finger, toes, eyes ... everything crossed !!!)
(For us in the west country this past winter was colder than it's been for years)

Oh, no - not again, Louise! More fleecing, more into the greenhouse with precious plants! :-( I shall choose not to believe this until it happens!
16 Jul, 2009
Agreed, believe it when we see it !
In Wisley the Hollies (no, not the Band!) had soooo many berries that someone there said that that indicated a hard winter too .... what's all that about ??
16 Jul, 2009
That's an old wives' tale. I don't take ANY notice of them.
Didn't you go out after all, then?
16 Jul, 2009
Yes, been and come back !
