Great you'l be able to put plenty of feeders on that, trouble is Eileen the more feeders we put out the more it cost us to feed the birds, good job we dont mind is'nt it.

My bird feeder has been in place for the birds all last winter and is still there, not fallen over yet...but I might modify the upright poles to make it less wobbly. Lol..

I have one of these too. Very useful as lots of different foodstuff can be loaded on it! Wobbles a bit when the squirrel or larger birds land on it :)

10 Jul, 2009

i didnt have anything on mine yesterday Gee. it wobbled and then it fell over lol

11 Jul, 2009

Do you have a spike at the bottom of it, as I do mine,? the squirrel knocked mine down, I nic named it inspector gadget :), when you put it into the ground you have to hammer it in quite deep, then press hard with your foot the soil around it , as when it rains it loosens it, this is what my grandson done for me and it s stayed put since, even with the squirrel climbing it and also pigeons.

it makes it more secure if you put it through bottom of planter and pretty to eileen

11 Jul, 2009

They're great Eileen, I have one too, but it doesn't have to spike into the ground, it has a little sort of planter which has splayed out legs. It was supposed to have a solar light on top, but that never worked. The only problem is that bird seeds fall into the planter and I get endless different varieties of seed plants instead of the flowers I wanted in there, no matter, the furries love the seed plants, so it serves a useful purpose :o)

13 Jul, 2009

Me too.........i have one the same..............

13 Jul, 2009

no Marquerite, it was a pressie for babysitting lol

13 Jul, 2009

ahh no splayed legs on this one Pam so i think i will need to put it into a planter to steady it

Hello Irish,

I want to buy one of these for my Dad after his operation. I will treat him to one to cheer him up. He will probably have his op in the Autumn.
