Anyone good at taking cuttings? I'd love to know as mine never seek to take.

im useless at taking cuttings,we would save alot of money if we knew how.

i just take a cutting then root in water, fuchsia do really well this way :o)

I've tried that too but still with no luck... when do you take your cuttings?

sorry only just got back to you clematisa,, i took my cuttings about end of aug and sept, once taken i pot them and once grown and settled in to about 4 leaves high i pinch out the top tip so they branch out, keeping them in shed over winter ready for spring, they have to be soft cuttings not hardened wood to, also when rooting and small over winter dont let them bud, snip buds off for stronger growth

Think I'm probably too late this year - I manage to do it this way with Bizzy Lizzies and Spider plants no problem...
Have even managed to grow on African Violets leaves through tinfoil - but never any success with Fuscia!
I always give the African Violets away as I can never keep them - I over water them later or let them dry out!

well good luck with the fuchsia , take about 2/3 weeks to start rooting in water, rain water best to :o)
