Thanks - yes, its only drawback is the deadheading!

i didnt know i had to dead head. is that to stop self seeding.

No - but if you do take each dead head off just under the flower, they will produce more!

Anyway, I don't like the 'brown' look of the dead ones.

Oh dear, Motinot... I inherited this one, and it just pops up each year. I'm sorry - I just don't know why you can't get one going.

how do you find this spritzhenry, i have just recently purchased one and not sure where to place :^)

I have one facing east, which does very well. The other is a bit too shaded, I think. Does that help?

yes thankyou, does it spread much

No - at least, mine haven't! I 'think' there may be a plant further along the border, which is probably a seedling.

I do find that I have to dead-head frequently, as the lovely pink turns to a nasty brown - but only snip off the head carefully, immediately under the flower head - more flowers appear at that point.

I hope I explained it properly! You'll see when you look closely. I'd hate you to lose all the second lot of flowers. :-((

Yes spritzhenry, no probs, i have deadheaded it but there was no sign of any other flowers beneath but there are some leaves underneath which i think might be where the flower will come from , i checked the deadheads and there were no buds underneath them so i think it did it properly :^)
