These are so sweet. When we got there, there was Mum and 9 babaies, but unfortunately, we only could find 3 when we left. Something....was getting them. What a shame.....

You did well to get this pic Maureen. We have some on our pond and they are so shy. Ours dive under the water to escape from me too, bless

Sure do. When the heron is around on our pond you should hear the racket the parents make - they seem much more protective than the mallards and use the reeds much better for protection. I think they're lovely. Ours come down to the bird table to eat the dropped bits :-)

Oh how lovely.........The Mum was very protective where we were and we did see the Heron flying around early mornings. And so many Magpies.........

Blinkin magpies, when they appear in my garden the other birds scatter, horrible things.
