After I took this shot I saw many photos taken from this angle on postcards and in travel books.
Bald Rock is the second largest granite rock in the Southern hemisphere, Urulu or Ayres Rock being the largest.

It's magnificent close-up isn't it? From the lower Triassic Age. Did you get to see Thunderbolt's hideout - that's nearby - and did you spend much time in Tenterfield?

Boonoo Boonoo - yes.
Giraween Nat. Pk.- yes, saw The Pyramids, The Sphynx, The Turtle, Bald Rock and the Brothers.
Stayed in Tenterfield as our base for about one week.
Also Visited Ghost Gully Nat. Pk. two miles outside of Tenterfield.
Bunna Bunna Nat. Pk.
Mt. Warning Nat. Pk. Climbed to about 10 - 15 ft above Mt.Warning (stood on viewing platform handrail for 360 degree panoramic shot).
Loved every minute of my visit to your beautiful country.

You were visiting one of the great areas in this vast country - spent a while down there a few years ago and just loved it too. The landscapes around there are just magnificent. Glad you enjoyed your time over here.
