This has thrilled me Spritz, I have 6 Hollyhocks on the way to me as plug plants, mixed colours, aren't they gorgeous? I have one black one growing in the garden at the moment! Can't wait to plant them and see what next year brings!

Evokes that lovely old English Country garden thatched cottage feel~ lost my gorgeous black one over the winter~it used to grow about 10 feet high~

That's strange, Arlene - my black one has vanished this year too??????

~not sure if the black ones have been hybridised and are not as strong Barbara~it was in a quite sheltered corner and has been coming back for years but last year was so very cold that it must have been too much.
There are some nice ones on ebay so I will be getting a few colours to replace including another black one of course!
