Just incredible - how lucky are your passers-by! Your fuchsia baskets are looking fabulous.

It's good to "step back" sometimes & get the view of the whole "canvas" instead of the "brush strokes" which is what I normally see!

Glad everyone likes it! It's a cottage garden sort of balcony as I grow everything all jumbled up. Sometimes I start with good intentions only to end up like this! but I like it & if things don't go the way I originally intended well that's all well & good. I often think I ought to do things differently during the flowering periods but by the following year I've forgotten!

Take my baskets this year for example, I had intended to grow hanging tomatoes but as the seed tray fell off the table & I didn't realise for a couple of days I lost all the seedlings. I was stumped for a few weeks as to what to put in them. In fact I think it may only have been after joining GoY that it occurred to me to fill them with Fuchsias! So I went out to town & bought 20 little plants from the market. As I wanted 5 for each basket. I have 5 baskets but 1 was occupied. A couple of weeks later I bought another 5 & planted up the last basket.

As you will have seen one basket actually does have a tomato plant in it after all! So things always work out differently! But I like the surprises!

The basket with the tomato plant in it is now "missing", I've lent it to my daughter. She is selling her house & to make it look better she asked me if I could lend her one of my baskets. Thinking it was only for the photo to be used in selling the house & expecting to have it back in a week I gave her the middle basket which was the best of the 5. Had I known she was going to keep it for longer I would have given her one of the others - not that they are worse but none was as well rounded as that one & I'm afraid the tomato plant may have died by now. I keep forgetting to ask her about the basket.
