My mom visited me for awhile. While she was here we created this section of flowerbed. The ground had to be levelled and sifted, and I have nothing but rock here. I planted a snowball bush, and some tickseed and english daisies in the front. Will be leaving the area behind the shrub clear for construction of a new fence next year.

Nice that you can remember fun times with your Mum when you look at this part of the garden :o)

PP-yes, in an acceptable place where i won't have to step on it. Mom insisted I put it outside!
Bjs-That is exactly what I have. It has about 3 feet on the back, and the stuff in the front can be moved when the time is necessary, I'm hoping that will be ok and not be too big before the fence is started. My boyfriend is not YET interested in flowers/bushes (poor him), but he always comments that he likes snowball bushes, so hopefullly it will trigger an undiscovered interest!
You're right, TT....I will..She can certainly swing a pick and dig and shovel!
